Designer Outlet Croatia CO2mpensates with tree planting project

The premium outlet village of Zagreb participes once again in national afforestation project to neutralise carbon footprint.

16 November 2023 - Designer Outlet Croatia is one again sponsoring the national afforestation project organised by the Croatian Scout Association and the Croatian Forests organisation with the objective of offsetting up to 25 tons of CO2 through planting 1000 tree seedlings.

Designer Outlet Croatia’s team planted oak seedlings in Perjasica woods near Zagreb, aiming to replace the old maple forest ruined by a parasite. As part of the initiative, interactive educational workshops on the ecosystem, climate change, recycling and forestry projects, among others, are also being held in primary and secondary schools.

The project has also been supported by companies such as L'Oreal, Coca-Cola, Porsche Croatia, PricewaterhouseCoopers, Raiffeisenbank Croatia, and further sponsors like the Office of the European Parliament in Croatia, the US Embassy and the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development in Croatia.

This initiative is part of the ESG – Environmental, Social and Governance – approach established by ROS across its portfolio in Europe as a means to tackle the challenges posed by climate change as well as making positive contributions to society through different social initiatives.
