- Read the interview in French or Poland -

Following the success of our Centre Manager interview series, we are delighted to bring you a new round of interviews. This time, we will introduce you to our entire Leasing team, starting with Valle Mejía, Leasing Manager Spain.

You are responsible for the first ROS project in Spain, La Torre Outlet Zaragoza. What would you say is the main attraction of the centre?

La Torre Outlet Zaragoza is the most recent and digitized outlet in Spain. Opened in the middle of the pandemic, this has not prevented it from consolidating in a short time as a great shopping destination

to visit. It is a unique destination in Aragon with a modern design and easy access where leisure and shopping are combined.

Fashion, sports, decoration, and home outlet stores with 30-70% off, a Retail Park and a unique mix of restaurants, leisure and cinemas with high technology are present in the complex.

What do you think the Spanish outlet market has to offer in contrast to other European countries?

It has been more than 20 years since the first outlets arrived in Spain and they have gradually positioned themselves and grown in size throughout the country, becoming tourist destinations too. Spain's domestic economic situation has helped to consolidate them. The outlet sector has matured a lot, and brands and customers alike are more loyal, but also more demanding.

International brands see Spain as an attractive market due to the growth in tourism, the long opening hours and the good weather with open spaces.

Because of your job, you have to talk to and be in contact with a lot of people. What do you think are the keys to efficient communication?

I think it is very important to try to empathise, respect and listen actively in a conversation. You have to try to give clear and coherent messages. And if you are also timely with them, perfect!

What is the first thing you notice when you meet someone for the first time?

I like people who talk to you looking you in the eye. I highly value non-verbal communication and a good sense of humour.

And when it comes to ROS, what was your first impression?

A company with great professionals with a working model based on trust and experience where people are important and make you feel like family.
