In our first interview of the year, we would like to introduce you to Frauke Aumann, Centre Manager at City Outlet Geislingen, the lifestyle outlet shopping for Stuttgart, Göppingen & Ulm. Discover more!
City Outlet Geislingen may be the smallest outlet destination in the ROS portfolio, but it certainly has a lot to offer. What makes it special?
City Outlet Geislingen may be the smallest ROS outlet destination, but it certainly offers the most square metres of home & lifestyle in the portfolio. With the largest WMF outlet store of 1,500 sqm, and a large Gardena shop with 745 sqm, we serve a wide range of customers in a market segment that has grown substantially over the past years. Especially since the pandemic, cocooning has become an important way of life and spending quality time with the family is even more valued than before.
At City Outlet Geislingen we certainly have what the whole family needs, from luxurious Rosenthal porcelain, elegant wine glasses and decanters from Riedel, soft and silky bed linen from Estella, robotic lawnmowers from Gardena or the wide range of biscuits from DeBeukelaer, to children's fashion from Sigikid or family games from Ravensburger and of course a good selection of fashion brands.
A centre extension is also planned. What can you tell us in advance?
We are very excited about the new extension. Work is currently underway in our new car park to ensure that our visitors feel welcome from the very beginning of their visit. A new entrance area with lift and staircase will lead visitors to the heart of City Outlet Geislingen. Following will be the start of the building works for the extension with a nice plaza-like dwell-area in front of WMF Fischhalle and 4 additional stores.
Which fashion purchase made you happy recently?
A very nice and warm men's hooded winter jacket from the Carl Gross shop at City Outlet Geislingen for my husband.
A book I would recommend everyone to read is:
The Bucket List (500 things you must have done in life) by Elise de Rijck. It is not only a book to read with great ideas, but also to fill in with notes of your own bucket list achievements.
Which film did you cry at last?
I recently re-watched one of my all-time favorite films “What dreams may come” with the late Robin Williams by director Vincent Ward.
A new year has just begun: What would you like ROS to accomplish in 2023?
To continue the success story of ROS over the last eleven years with further prosperity and growth in these current uncertain economic times and that the great team and their loved ones remain healthy and happy.
