This September we are introducing to you a ROS colleague who has been with us for over 8 years. Please meet Sanda Lukić, Head of Leasing CEE!
You are responsible for our projects Designer Outlet Soltau, City Outlet Geislingen and Designer Outlet Croatia... What are the main differences between them?
There are many differences in terms of outlet centre size, architecture, tenant mix, positioning as well as catchment, culture and mentality in Germany and Croatia. But that's what makes my job so interesting.
Designer Outlet Soltau is the first outlet of ROS in Northern Germany in a prime location between Hamburg, Hannover and Bremen with almost 13,000 sqm GLA and an excellent mix of brands and categories, which has improved a lot over the last years and was recognized this year also by ecostra as Europe’s Best Boutique Outlet Centre. While City Outlet Geislingen close to Stuttgart is our niche outlet with a focus on home & lifestyle on almost 6,000 sqm GLA at the former WMF factory and anchored by the world's largest WMF outlet store.
Designer Outlet Croatia, located near Zagreb, is the largest premium outlet village in Croatia and Southeast Europe, with more than 15,000 sqm and an excellent brand mix with adidas, Boss, Tommy Hilfiger, Patrizia Pepe, Ted Baker and many more. I am very happy that the centre extension with an additional 5,500 sqm GLA is planned and that the estimated opening is in 2025.

What is your leasing approach when working in such different markets?
The key is to understand the demographics, characteristics and trends influencing each market and based on this, create a clear leasing strategy that should be followed by a proactive individual approach.

Having worked for almost a decade at ROS, you surely have many special memories. Can you share one with us?
Having worked on the project from the very beginning, I would like to highlight the opening of Designer Outlet Croatia in June 2018. In a very short time, we achieved a very high occupancy rate and a very nice tenant mix.
What do you wish for the company in the next 10 years?
Over the past decade, ROS Retail Outlet Shopping has grown to become one of Europe’s top 5 outlet operators. I wish ROS continued success.
